Living The Dream✨

Every maker has a dream moment — and this one was mine. As a crochet designer, my dream has always meant more than just yarn and hooks — it’s about community, creativity, and seeing my patterns come to life in real stores.

Last spring, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Knitting Fever and Juniper Moon Farm for a 6-Day Star Blanket Crochet Along. During one of our planning chats, I said something that came straight from the heart:

“My dream is to walk into a yarn store and see my designs on display.”

And now… that dream has come true!

The 6-Day Star Blanket CAL brought together crocheters from all over — each one adding their own color, style, and creativity. Working alongside Knitting Fever, Juniper Moon Farm, and so many talented makers made it an unforgettable experience.

But one shop in particular made this dream moment real: Mother of Yarns in Chesapeake, Virginia. Their enthusiastic participation in the CAL, cozy atmosphere, and crochet-friendly energy brought the project to life in such a beautiful way.

Walking through their doors and seeing my 6-Day Star Blanket designs displayed right at the entrance felt surreal — a full-circle moment years in the making. It was the exact image I had envisioned when I first said, “someday I want to see my designs in a yarn store.

A special thank-you goes out to Anthony Venezia of Knitting Fever, who chose the Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Degrade. Everyone agreed it was the perfect yarn for the 6-Day Star Blanket — light, airy, and oh-so-soft, with color transitions that mimic the calm of ocean waves.

This yarn didn’t just look beautiful — it felt beautiful to work with. It became a fast favorite for makers in the McKnitiverse and added a luxurious touch to every stitch.

What truly made this collaboration shine was the community. The energy, encouragement, and creativity shared during the CAL were unmatched.

To top it off, Knitting Fever and Juniper Moon Farm sent out swag gifts that had everyone buzzing — another thoughtful touch that made the whole experience even more special.

Seeing crocheters tag their finished Star Blankets, share color palettes, and cheer each other on reminded me why I love doing this. Yarn connects us — it tells stories, weaves memories, and wraps us all in creativity.

Thank you to everyone who joined, stitched, and celebrated this milestone with me. And a special thank-you to Mother of Yarns in Chesapeake, VA — your display, enthusiasm, and support made this dream come true in the most heart-warming way.

Here’s to more yarn, more community, and more dreams coming true — one stitch at a time.
