Star Blanket September was inspired by the Stash Bust September trend. 6-Day Star Blankets are AMAZING stash-busters! This year, we are encouraging crocheters to use yarn that they already have. Shop your stash, or put scraps left over from other projects together into a beautiful scraptastically colorful project.

6-Day Crochet patterns are made to be adaptable, and to work with many different yarns. It’s time to get creative, use those yarns you’ve already got, and get happy making 6-Day Stars.

2) Have worked for 6 Days on a project (can be any 6 days during the month, need not be consecutive)

3) Minimum requirement per day is one complete row or round.

4) Complete this form by October 1, 2026.

5) 5 Winners will be drawn at random from the submissions and will receive a gift from Betty McKnit.

How to Participate in Star Blanket September

  2. JOIN Star Blanket September CROCHET ALONG COMMUNITY or one of our other amazing communities.
  3. CHECK OUT THE PATTERNS and start thinking about which 6-Day Star Crochet project is calling to you.
  4. GATHER MATERIALS The 6-Day Star Blanket can be made with any yarn. Shop your stash, use up your scraps, or find something new and exciting to create with. Be sure to check your pattern of choice for yardage.
  5. FIND YOUR HOOKS Be sure to read your pattern of choice for important information about what hooks you will need for your project. It’s important to get the tension right!
