What is the Ridgy Didge?
The Ridgy Didge is a stripe adaptation of the 6-Day Kid Blanket and 6-Day Star Blanket.
It consists of adding a textured to the classic 6 rows of alternating single crochet, double crochet, and cluster stitches of any 6-Day Crochet project. This adaptation was inspired by moderators of the 6-Day Crochet Group, Stephanie Pundt-Werner and Erin Iske, as well as long-time community member Diane Kagay aka Dee Louise.
This crochet along is dedicated to Dee’s memory. While she may no longer be with us, her spirit lives on through her gorgeous crochet work and this special adaptation of our 6-Day Crochet projects.
What to Expect
It’s going to be an incredible crochet along! Here’s what you can look forward to:
Pick your 6-Day Crochet Pattern
There are several 6-Day Kid Blanket and 6-Day Star Blanket variations that include the Ridgy Didge Stripe, but any 6-Day Crochet pattern can be adapted. You can choose from one of the existing patterns, or create your own adaptation.

Since we are all making a different project for this crochet along, you’ll need to refer to your pattern of choice for yarn, yardage, and hook requirements. If you get stuck reach out in the 6-Day Crochet Community or the Betty McKnitiverse for help from our amazing and helpful community members.
